Quassy Amusement Park has officially named its newest attraction: Crazy 8—a spinning family coaster with a dynamic figure-eight design.

A man in his 40s was arrested Wednesday after allegedly trying to set the front entrance of the New Haven Police Department on fire using lighter fluid. He faces charges including attempted arson and breach of peace.

Metro-North Trains Out of New Haven Now Run Faster

Metro-North has rolled out new schedules with shorter run times for several New Haven Line trains, thanks to upgraded signaling systems. Additional stops on the Hudson Line and expanded holiday service were also announced to make commuting smoother.
