NEW CT LAWS GOING INTO EFFECT JANUARY 1

Starting January 1st, a number of new laws will be going into effect in Connecticut, including:

➡️Changes to Absentee Balloting: New procedures require video recordings of absentee ballot drop boxes and improved tracking of how ballots are submitted.

➡️Expanded Paid Sick Leave: Connecticut’s paid sick leave policy now applies to companies with 25+ employees, ensuring workers can care for their families stress-free.

➡️Student Loan Debt Relief: Employers offering student loan repayment will receive expanded tax credits.

➡️Protecting Against Coerced Debt: New protections for domestic violence victims require credit card companies to assess cases of coerced debt and hold abusers accountable.

➡️Public Health and Safety: Additional legislation aims to improve the health and safety of Connecticut residents.
