Challenges lead to closure; Branford flagship remains open…
Thimble Island Brewing Company has announced the closure of its Old Saybrook satellite location after less than a year in operation. The brewery cited challenges with the building that impacted service quality as the primary reason.
The Old Saybrook site will officially close its doors on January 18, 2025, but fans can still visit Thimble Island Brewing’s flagship location in Branford.
The team remains optimistic about future opportunities and expressed gratitude to loyal customers for their support.

EXPECT TO SEE MORE SPEED CAMERAS ACROSS CONNECTICUT
New tech aims to improve safety in high-risk areas.

Connecticut is gearing up to install more speed enforcement cameras in towns and cities, marking a shift in traffic safety strategies.
Currently, Washington is the only town with full approval, but Middletown and others are expected to follow suit this year.
While some residents are skeptical, state officials emphasize that similar programs in other states have proven effective in reducing accidents and improving safety.
With tickets issued via mail, these cameras could become a familiar sight in high-risk areas across Connecticut.

CONNECTICUT LAUNCHES AI ACADEMY IN PARTNERSHIP WITH GOOGLE
New program prepares students for the jobs of tomorrow…
Governor Ned Lamont and state officials have unveiled the Connecticut Online AI Academy in partnership with Google. Hosted by Charter Oak College, the academy offers online courses to equip residents with skills for the rapidly evolving job market.
Enrollment is open now, with classes running from January 27 to March 2. Don’t miss this opportunity to stay ahead in the AI-driven economy!
