Don’t miss your chance to meet the iconic Mr. Peanut and see the famous Nutmobile on Thursday, November 7, 2024, from 3 pm to 7 pm at 1741 Pub & Grill next to Lyman Orchards! The Nutmobile tour is making a stop in town, offering a unique photo op and fun for all ages!🤩

Lyman Orchards Winter Lantern Festival Returns!

One of Connecticut’s most magical winter experiences is returning to Middlefield for 2024 — the Lyman Orchards Winter Lantern Festival. Starting November 15 and running through February 9, this festival transforms the town’s beloved orchard into a radiant wonderland that has quickly become a seasonal must-see in the state.

Connecticut is the birthplace of the hamburger. The first hamburger was served at Louis’ Lunch in New Haven. The restaurant, which is still open to this day, is officially recognized by the Library of Congress as the birthplace of the hamburger sandwich.
