Here’s what’s inside this week:

If you've ever struggled to enjoy cannabis due to the harshness of smoking or vaping, you're not alone. That’s why these new cannabis gummies caught our eye.

Mood is an online dispensary that has invented a “joint within a gummy” that’s extremely potent yet federally-legal. Their gummies are formulated to tap into the human body’s endocannabinoid system.

Although this system was discovered in the 1990’s, farmers and scientists at Mood were among the first to figure out how to tap into it with cannabis gummies. Just 1 of their rapid onset THC gummies can get you feeling right within 5 minutes!

THIS MONTH IN CONNECTICUT HISTORY

A Feud That Led to Victory

In May of 1775, two legendary figures from Connecticut—Ethan Allen and Benedict Arnold—joined forces to capture the strategically significant Fort Ticonderoga. While the victory marked an important turning point in the American Revolution, it was also overshadowed by the rivalry between these two fierce patriots, whose clash over leadership added drama to an otherwise smooth operation.

Ethan Allen, along with Benedict Arnold, led a small band of 80 to 90 men, mostly from Connecticut and Vermont, in an early morning raid on the British-held fort. Despite the fort being poorly defended, with less than 50 British soldiers present, the British commander, taken completely by surprise, surrendered without a fight. However, the capture quickly became a battleground of egos. Allen, the self-assured leader, largely excluded Arnold from the credit in his account of the event, while Arnold, equally proud, contended that he deserved greater recognition.

Despite the internal conflict, the victory at Fort Ticonderoga proved pivotal for the American cause. Not only did it sever communication lines between the British forces in Canada and New York, but it also provided much-needed supplies for the Continental Army. In the winter of 1775, Henry Knox would famously transport cannons from the fort to Massachusetts, giving the Americans a decisive edge in the siege of Boston. Though the British eventually reclaimed the fort in 1777, the Americans’ early use of it in the Revolution’s early days made it an enduring symbol of the struggle for independence.
