Connecticut’s largest Lunar New Year celebration returns.
Lunarfest 2025 kicks off in New Haven on Saturday, February 1, with a vibrant parade and cultural festivities celebrating the Year of the Snake. Hosted by the Yale-China Association, the event features a traditional lion dance, martial arts demonstrations, and community performances.
The celebration runs from 10 am to 4:30 pm, with activities at various locations throughout the city. Admission is free, making it a perfect family outing to welcome the Lunar New Year in style.

Jumpfest brings thrills to Satre Hill this weekend.
From January 31 to February 2, the Salisbury Winter Sports Association will host its annual ski jump competition, featuring thrilling jumps and the beloved Human Dog Sled Race. Events include junior competitions, the Snow Ball fundraiser, and the Eastern U.S. Ski Jumping Championships.
Proceeds from Jumpfest support youth skiing programs, making it a great way to enjoy winter fun while giving back to the community.

DAVE’S HOT CHICKEN OPENS FIRST CONNECTICUT LOCATION IN MILFORD
Spicy chicken sliders and tenders arrive at Milford Square.
Dave’s Hot Chicken, a fast-casual favorite from Los Angeles, has opened its first Connecticut location at Milford Square. Known for its customizable spice levels ranging from “No Spice” to “Reaper,” the restaurant offers hot chicken sliders, tenders, sides, and shakes.
